Les is an experienced commercial and equity barrister. He was admitted to both the NSW and WA Bars in 1987.
Prior to commencing at the Bar, Les practised for 8 years as a solicitor in Sydney, starting at Blake Dawson Waldron and moving to Ferrier & Associates.
Les has extensive experience in banking, insurance, trade practices and property matters. He also has experience in building and construction matters and has a particular interest in matters involving the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act (NSW).
Les appeared at the Special Commission of Inquiry into James Hardie, briefed for the Unions & Asbestos Support Groups. He has regularly been briefed to appear by the National Australia Bank and has appeared in a number of high profile commercial cases in the Supreme, Federal and High Courts including the Ampolex litigation; British Telecom v State of New South Wales and the Estate Mortgage litigation.
