Victoria is regularly briefed to advise and appear in matters in the areas of insolvency, commercial law (including contractual disputes, equity, corporations and consumer law), real property, taxation, personal property securities and administrative law.
She has appeared both led and unled in the principal NSW and Federal courts and various tribunals including the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT). Victoria is also available for ADR processes and has appeared in a number of both court-annexed and private mediations, conciliations and arbitrations. She is proactive in the use of ADR as a quick, flexible and cost-effective alternative to the judicial determination of disputes.
Victoria is also counsel for the Legal Aid NSW in matters on appeal concerning residential tenancies law in the Consumer and Commercial Division of the NCAT.
In addition to her practice, Victoria lectures a compulsory civil litigation, commercial and corporations law courses at the University of New South Wales where she holds postgraduate qualifications in law.
Before coming to the Bar, Victoria had a career in finance where she gained a strong commercial background particularly in corporate investment, banking, insurance and regulation. She has also worked at the Federal Court of Australia.
