Sophie was admitted to practice in 2014 and called to the Bar in May 2026.

Sophie accepts briefs in all areas of law with a particular focus on commercial disputes and insurance.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Sophie spent over 10 years at MinterEllison where she was a Senior Associate in the Complex Liabilities, Insurance and Regulatory Team. Before joining MinterEllison in 2015, she was a lawyer at Hunt & Hunt.

Sophie has acted in litigation across both Federal and State Courts, including the High Court of Australia. She also has experience in conducting domestic arbitrations.

Sophie has particular experience in insurance, including complex coverage disputes across all policy types, professional indemnity claims, competition and consumer law, corporations’ law, and commercial contract disputes.

Sophie holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of International Studies from Macquarie University.
