We are keen to perpetuate that culture and camaraderie. 9 Wentworth Chambers is committed to ensuring a workplace that is free from discrimination, sexual harassment, vilification and workplace bullying. 9 Wentworth's policy on resolving issues in Chambers is available from our Clerk.
From time to time, 9 Wentworth Chambers has the capacity to accommodate new members. These positions are rarely advertised and we rely in part on formal expressions of interest – if you are interested in joining our floor in the future please contact our Clerk, Ben Brown. All expressions of interest are treated in the strictest of confidence.
9 Wentworth Chambers also offers accommodation for up to two Readers each year. In recent years we have accommodated one Reader from each of the May and September Bar Practice courses.
Readers are encouraged to read with one of our members, and we recommend they nominate a second tutor located in other chambers to broaden the opportunities and experience available during their readership.
9 Wentworth Chambers is currently interviewing for Readers' positions for 2026. To apply for Readers' accommodation, please email a CV and covering letter to our Clerk, Ben Brown.
9 Wentworth Chambers is committed to promoting gender diversity and encourages members to adopt the Law Council's Equitable Briefing Policy. The floor offers a progressive and flexible parental and carer's leave policy to accommodate members with children or caring responsibilities. A maternity Bar jacket is available for floor members.
Further details on the specific leave arrangements and support mechanisms are available from our Clerk, Ben Brown.
