Alexander Barnett was admitted to practice in NSW in 2008 and was called to the bar in 2014. His principal areas of expertise are insurance, corporations and insolvency, building and construction, and professional negligence.
Alexander has extensive experience with general commercial disputes at the bar and accepts briefs in all areas of law. He has experience in large, complex commercial litigation, and has acted and appeared in a number of class actions. His clients include corporations, insurers, government bodies, professionals and individuals.
During his time at the bar Alexander has appeared both led and unled in trials, and on appeal in a range of courts and tribunals.
Recent cases include acting as junior counsel in the Gunns Plantations Class Action, the Opal Tower Class Action, and the Queensland Floods Class Action.
