David is an experienced trial and appellate advocate.
He has appeared as counsel, both led and unled, in a number of reported appeals, as well as many first instance cases in the corporations, commercial, employment, estate and general equity fields. He is well-versed in both federal and state jurisdictions.
David is regularly briefed to advise and appear in cases involving commercial and trust law, restraints of trade, confidential information, Corporations Act issues including breaches of directors’ duties, employment law, contractual disputes and estate law.
He is experienced in preparing and running hearings to conclusion, and is recognised as a skilled cross-examiner and oral advocate, as well as producing exceptional written submissions.
David has extensive experience in urgent injunctions, interim preservation applications, and the wide range of issues that come before a Duty Judge.
In addition to his written submission work, David is regularly called upon to provide written advice on complex issues, which he provides in a timely and clear manner.
David is also a strong supporter of assisting clients to resolve issues if possible without recourse to litigation, and sits on a sub-committee of the Bar Association of NSW.
